Josef Kerscher, President of BMW Manufacturing is to be the featured speaker at the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park.  A reception presented by Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System will be held from 5:30-6:30pm with the business meeting beginning at 6:30pm in the heritage ballroom.

Josef Kerscher began his career with BMW in 1979 and has served in management positions across the company from group leader to department head at the company’s Landshut plant to Managing Director of the Munich plant. He is a graduate of the Technical University Munich with a mechanical engineering degree with an emphasis on environmental engineering. 

Mr. Kerscher serves as a board member for South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chairman of the Manufacturing Committee.   He also serves a member of The Clemson President’s Advisory Board.
