On Thursday, November 11th, 200 business leaders and entrepreneurs from around the Upstate joined us at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park to celebrate the many accomplishments of Upstate businesses in 2010.  Awards were given to over 220 firms, each qualifying for at least one of the following criteria:

• Adding or updating equipment in 2010
• Adding employees in 2010
• Weathering the economic storm
• Opening a new business or expanding an existing business in 2010
• Doing something great for employees or for the community
• Receiving a special award or recognition (locally/regionally/or nationally) in 2010
• Developing a new product or process in 2010
• Going green in 2010 (became more environmentally friendly)
