Spartanburg County. We are:

2. A lead organization for economic development
3. A partner in marketing Spartanburg County for
our members, citizens, and visitors
4. The lead organization for community planning
5. A resource for networking and enhancing business
relationships
6. A partner with government, education, and other
community organizations
The Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce follows two
major themes: Enhancement and continual improvement of the
business climate and the quality of life in Spartanburg
County. The Program of Work of the organization throughout
its 80-year history has successfully undertaken a number of
initiatives, programs and special projects toward those
goals. From its beginnings as a trading post at the foot of
the Blue Ridge, to its Hub City railroad days, to the
development of the textile and manufacturing business base,
and now the growth and revitalization in our downtown from
white collar employers, the Spartanburg Chamber has been the
catalyst for growth and improvement in the greater
Spartanburg community.
Joining the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce puts
businesses, both large and small, into the company of over
1,400 Spartanburg area companies dedicated to making the
community a better place to live and do business.
