Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is a public,
not-for-profit, integrated health care delivery system
anchored by Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, a 588-bed
teaching and research hospital. SRHS provides healthcare
services to a five-county area in North and South Carolina,
serving an Upstate medical population of more than 300,000
people. It has earned a reputation for technological
excellence throughout the Southeast, while continuously
providing the highest quality of care to its patients.
The System is composed of - Spartanburg
Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg and Spartanburg Hospital for
Restorative Care in Spartanburg. Also included is the
Regional Physician Network, a network of 30 physician
offices located throughout five counties employing more than
90 physicians.
Spartanburg Regional Medical Center offers state-of-the-art
diagnosis and treatment with more than 500 physicians on
staff. Among its most recognized departments are the
Regional Heart Center, offering 36 intensive care and 64
telemetry beds; the Gibbs Regional Cancer Center, a cancer
research and treatment center; the Level III Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit; the Center for Women; and a Level 1
Trauma Center equipped to treat any type of injury.
Connected to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, the
six-story Regional Outpatient Center houses a wide range of
state-of-the-art outpatient diagnostic, laboratory and
surgical procedures such as same-day surgery, mammography,
MRI and CT scans.
Mary Black
Health System
Caring for generations since 1925, Mary
Black Health System (MBHS) has and continues to build on a
tradition of excellence in medical care. An integrated
health delivery system, MBHS includes Mary Black Memorial
Hospital, Mary Black Physician Group (MBPG) and Mary Black
HealthNetwork, Inc. Dedicated to providing compassionate
high quality health services, MBHS employees over 1,200
skilled professionals. Over 30 employed doctors in 12
convenient locations, the physicians of the MBPG take pride
in being patient-centered and providing a “personal touch.”
Committed to being a major force in the reshaping of health
care in the communities we are honored to serve, MBHS
features over 350 network physicians representing all health
care specialties.
To better serve our patients, MBHS continues to build upon
its existing facilities and resources. Renovation and
expansion of a new Intensive Care Unit is currently
underway. Recently completed and newly opened are a new
multimillion dollar Emergency Department and Women’s Breast
Health Center. Doubling the size of the former department,
the new ED is structured to enhance patient flow. The new
Women’s Breast Health Center features digital mammography
and comprehensive breast health services in one convenient
location. These recent upgrades compliment the $95 million
dollars in expansions and renovations completed within the
last ten years. These include renovations of private
patient rooms, a new Orthopedic wing, Outpatient Surgery
Center, three new operating rooms and a new Endoscopy
suite. This site features the latest outpatient technology
to treat esophageal cancer, the Barrx HALO system. This
technology is currently only available in the upstate at
MBHS.
Other MBHS services include a
Diagnostic Center featuring cardiac catheterization,
vascular imaging, nuclear medicine, Magnetic Resonance
Imaging (MRI) and LightSpeed Computerized Tomography (CT)
Scanners. Inpatient and Outpatient Surgical Services, Sleep
Center, Wound Center, Rehabilitation Services and Minor Care
are just a few of the many other health care services
available at MBHS.
