Spartanburg, S.C., April 1, 2011 – Upstate Career Source will begin accepting applications for Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) Grants on Monday April 4, 2011 until May 6, 2011 at 5:00 PM (EST). Companies in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union are eligible to apply for these grants. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered, regardless of postmarked date.

MAU Announces Innovative Online Recruiting Method for Contingent Workforce at BMW

MAU Workforce Solutions, a staffing and recruiting provider with offices in the Upstate, announced today that it will be moving all recruiting for BMW Positions to an online system. With the new recruiting method, applicants can go to http://www.mau.com/bmwjobs, apply online for a position, and are immediately redirected to an Online Scheduling System where they can register for the interview time slot of their choice. At their scheduled time, they are interviewed by MAU staff at its Greenville branch off of Pelham Road.

AFL Presents $13,000 Fujikura Foundation Grant to the Greenville Children's Hospital

On Monday, February 7, AFL associates representing the Fujikura Foundation presented a $13,000 grant to the Greenville Hospital System, Children's Hospital in support of psycho-social support programs for the BI-LO Charities Children's Cancer Center. The funds will allow the Center to continue teen and bereavement support groups and establish an adolescent support group for pre-teens.
