Welcome to Spartanburg County, the Carolinian community
filled with Southern hospitality. Full of historical
and cultural heritage, Spartanburg was named for the
Revolutionary War militia, the Spartan Rifles, who teamed
with General Daniel Morgan's troops to defeat the British in
the Battle of Cowpens. This battle is commemorated at
the Cowpens National Battlefield. Today, Spartanburg
is proud to be an internationally-recognized business and
