The opportunity recently arose to reassess our communications needs. It quickly became apparent that in order to tell Spartanburg’s story, we needed a deeper bench. Playing off of individual strengths, we’ve redesigned our team to maximize capacity and increase our ability to showcase Spartanburg as a choice place to live, work, play, visit, and do business.

Director of Strategic CommunicationsNaomi Sargent, a member of the Chamber team since August 2015, will step up to lead the communications team. She will create a streamlined communications strategy across the Chamber’s five entities, and will identify opportunities to highlight Spartanburg’s authenticity. Sargent has a track record of success in digital communications, social media strategy, and public relations. A shared resource with the Colleges of Spartanburg, Sargent will retain her position as Director of the College Town Consortium.

In this new role, Robertson will create the visual collateral and marketing materials needed to showcase Spartanburg’s assets. Robertson, a member of the Chamber team since October 2016, will create all visual components of campaigns and drive the Chamber’s brands.
