The Leadership Spartanburg Alumni Association (LSAA) is currently accepting nominations for two leadership awards, which will be announced at the LSAA April 18, 2018 luncheon.

LSAA Alumnus of the Year:
The 2018 LSAA Alumnus of the Year will be recognized with this prestigious award and will have the opportunity to designate a nonprofit of his or her choice to receive a $500 donation from LSAA.


Nominees must be:
1. A graduate of Leadership Spartanburg,
2. A leader in the Spartanburg community who has demonstrated significant leadership and service over a sustained period of time,
3. A current member of LSAA,
4. Not currently serving on the LSAA Awards Committee.

 

LSAA Unsung Community Hero
The 2018 LSAA Unsung Hero will be recognized with this prestigious award and will have the opportunity to designate a nonprofit of his or her choice to receive a $500 donation from LSAA.


Nominees:
1. Can but are not required to be graduates of Leadership Spartanburg,
2. Are leaders making significant contributions to the Spartanburg community behind the scenes, with little or no fanfare, and not seeking personal recognition or gain.


*If your nominee is selected by the Awards Committee as a finalist for the award, additional information may be requested.
*Nominees are kept on file and considered for three years.

Leadership Spartanburg Alumni Association (LSAA) is a group of community leaders who are graduates of Leadership Spartanburg, a Chamber of Commerce program initiated in 1979. The mission of LSAA is to identify community needs and encourage the involvement of its members in civic, community and charitable organizations; to promote the education of its members in issues involving the affairs of the city and the county of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and to enhance the leadership skills of its members, in order that they might better serve the community as volunteers and civic leaders.
